30 Weeks!

How far along? 30 weeks today!
Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 5 pounds, but with what I think is morning sickness returning, who knows what the scale will say today at my appointment
Maternity clothes? I hate pants. Got some cute long sleeved rouched tops at Target the other day! Only $9.99! Go quick!
Sleep: Different every night. I pee every couple of hours and am usually up after 4-5 when Christopher leaves for about an hour because I can't fall back asleep.
Best moment this week: The 3D/4D Ultrasound!
Movement: All day and all night! I think this may be a bad sign! LOL!
Food cravings: Sweet sweets and more sweets!
Gender: DEFINITELY a boy! :)
Labor Signs: Lots of Braxton Hicks and contractions, shortened cervix. He better stay put a couple more weeks!
Belly Button in or out? Still in... but VERY wide! It may pop any day now!
What I miss: Margaritas and cold ham
What I am looking forward to: My shower next weekend!
Weekly Wisdom: Don't eat ice cream too fast.
Milestones: 30 weeks!

Bumble B is the size of a cabbage this week! ACK! And supposedly 3 pounds!

I have an appointment this afternoon. I am interested in what she has to say about my seemingly returning morning sickness. I'm already measuring behind and have only gained 5lbs. I don't want to back track now! Hopefully she will give me something for this nausea!

My baby shower is next weekend! I am so excited to see all my friends and celebrate my baby!

Bumble B in 3D!

Yesterday Christopher, my mom and dad, and I went to a 3D/4D US place here in the Charleston area. It was so nice! It was behind this sweet beautiful house. The woman who owns it owns her own traveling diagnostic sonography business and travels a lot. She does Small Wonders Imaging on the side as her hobby! I can see why, babies are so fun to look at! The place was SO nice and there was a HUUUGE screen on the wall right in front of me so I could see my baby and not have to break my neck to look at a tiny computer screen. It was a really nice cozy personal experience! Holly was really nice and showed us so much. She made she we knew exactly what we were looking at and pointed everything out. She has great prices and we were given a CDROM with the pictures, a DVD of the exam, and a bunch of pictures printed out!

As I may have mentioned before, Bumble B is very very low. I finally was given visual evidence yesterday! He is SNUG AS A BUG down in my pelvis. It took almost the whole hour for my bladder to fill up so that we could just see above his nose! I almost peed in my pants *wink*! She said I probably have to pee even more than the normal pregster since he's pushing my bladder. She had me contorted in all kinds of pretzel positions to try to get the best possible look at the little face hidden behind my pubic bone!

Some really cool things we got to see:
-He was swallowing fluid!
-He woke up and was blinking his eyes
-He is definitely a boy and not ashamed to show it... *rolls eyes*
-He has some thick basketball thighs. Christopher couldn't be happier.
-He is curled up into the tightest of little balls
-He sleeps with his arms and hands folded up under his chin, just like ME! Isn't that so funny that he does something I do? Like bent wrists and everything, the same way I do it!
-He has BIG KISSABLE lips! Even when he opened his mouth to drink they were poutin' out! I'm in LOVE with each of those smackers.
-He has some fat cheeks. That's just more surface area for me to kiss!
-Stubborn. Like mom... and dad... and grandma... and grandpa... I think he got it honestly from every single one of us in that room!

I'm just more in love with him! I MUST get those cheeks and lips SOON! How can I wait 73ish more days?!

Basketball dunking thighs

Sleepin just like his mommy :) That's me! I'm this cutie's mommy!

Drinking! He likes that Nerds flavored water ;) Look at those LIPS!

Bumble B's (mommy's) New Purchases

As you know, we are going with the Monster theme for the nursery. Christopher and I are SO excited. I just need to order the wall decals and leave the rest to my oh so diligent registry purchasers. The other day I went to Target with a friend and couldn't resist the dollar section. I mean, COME ON! Who can?! Low and behold, there were monsters! So these new additions are waiting in Bumble B's crib for him. Of course, of course, I'll take them out once Bumble B gets here, but until then, they're keeping his crib warm for him!

I also purchased some really cute Babylegs! Christopher thinks they're girlie because they're leg warmers, but I just think he's silly. He's lucky Bumble B is a boy, because we would be bankrupt on all the cute frilly girl ones. I had a buy on get one coupon code and they offer free shipping, so I couldn't pass the chance up!

I'm definitely getting him a newborn pic in those bumble bee ones! And we bought the bones because skeletons are super duper cool. Ask Bumble B's xray tech mommy. She'll tell you.

And y'all aren't forgetting to vote, right? ;) Just click the banner and close, nothing to it!

29 Weeks!

We're nearing the 30 week mark! The END! I can't wait. 3 months sounds like a lifetime to me. I can't believe I lived through the last 7. I'm so impatient!

This week little Bumble B is approximately  2 1/2 pounds! That sounds so little to me! But he's going to triple in weight in the next 3 months, so I should probably be thrilled he's only so small!

Look at that face! Mine is way cuter, OBVIOUSLY, but I'm about 110% sure he chews his fingers like that, because his mommy and grandpa do. And I have pictorial evidence. Let's get a closeup...

And here he is in fruit size. I have a hard time picturing him compared to other objects, but hey, it's worth a shot and may be some of you are less dimensionally challenged as I.

That's a squash. To me, squash is more of a verb, as in what Bumble B is doing to my bladder.

And his head is getting bigger this week. That should help with comfort...

This week I felt kicks higher than ever! Above my belly button! Bumble B likes to hang low, and I have felt him above my belly button may be a total of 4 times. This week I felt a foot or two in the rib area for the first time! I don't think he cared too much for it, and hightailed it back to my pelvis.

Here is a picture the hubster took last night. Bumble B was SHOWIN OFF yesterday! I was bigger than ever. My belly itched all day long!

And this is just now, he moved back down and I look small again. LOL. My belly changes everyday, sometimes numerous times a day! My little wiggle worm just makes me smile.

Love And Hate

Love and Hate. That is the relationship I currently have with maternity clothes.

I've wanted to be pregnant FOREVER so I could sport cute preggo jeans and belly showin shirts.

Here I am in my 3rd trimester, and most maternity shirts are still too big for me. But that's not at all the issue. I can deal with that. It's the PANTS.

I have noticed the two main types of maternity pants. The panel that goes up to your boobs and the under belly panel. I hate the boob panel. It is so uncomfortable to me. My sister in law LOVED them. I don't know how she could stand it! I have two pairs of jeans like this, and I just roll the panel down, but after awhile it hurts really bad. So I just go back and forth back and forth, up and down, up and down. When one way gets too uncomfortable, I switch.

When I was making my maternity clothes purchases I went to Ross. I found these AWESOME maternity jeans. They are by Chip and Pepper. Originially like $200 and I got them for $15! Yes FIFTEEN! I was so happy. They are the most comfortable jeans in the entire world. I guess since they're so expensive, but they don't feel like denim. They are so soft and just heavenly. But OMG. The panel. It's awful. It's not under the belly or over, it's just kinda hanging out, doesn't even reach my belly button if I pull it all the way up. And in turn these pants will fall to my knees before I even realize it. I have a big booty. They don't go over the booty.

Here is the model. Isn't she just lovely?!

Here they are on me. It looks like I have boy part room.

And this is how I normally wear them.

I just recently started wearing a belt, YES A BELT! with these pants. I got my handy dandy Vera Bradley belt out. This belt is obviously for looks, not at all function. It doesn't actually work. But I tie the ends and then fold the panel over it and it actually works out great! My butt doesn't continuously fall out. If I'm having a bad contraction day (which are sometimes cause by all these OH SO FABULOUS maternity pants) I can't wear it cause it hurts too bad.

The BellaBand didn't even work for me. I got a Large because when I made the purchase I was pregnant with twins and the sizing said for me to get Large. Still too tight. I must have very sensitive round ligaments? Anything tight down there hurts and causes contractions.

May be once my belly gets bigger I'll be more comfortable, but at the moment, I think I belong in the 1% of women who hate maternity clothes!

Pregancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month

Serious post, get ready!

October is very popular for Breast Cancer Awareness. I've also talked a little on Alzheimer's Awareness. But what is closest to my heart this month is Pregnancy and Baby Loss Awareness. This day is for babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death.

I have two angel babies. I lost one in March of 08 and one in the 8th week of this pregnancy (My little Bumble B is a twin).

I always kind of figured I'd have a hard time getting pregnant because my mom did and it was something I wanted so so so bad (I'm an Eeyore). Never in a million years did I ever imagine going through a miscarriage, much less two. They were both very very different, obviously. Still having a living baby in your belly when you've miscarried the other is very hard to deal with. It was less sad for me, but a million times scarier. The first miscarriage broke and shattered my heart into a bajillion pieces. I don't think I'll ever be able to glue those back together completely.

I have some more in depth posts on my journey from my loss and infertility blog. Please feel free to email me at katie@babybumbleb.com for that blog link! I found the support I needed to make it through this past year and half online through blogs and message boards. I have been with a group of girls (20+ of us!) that I met on Babycenter for over a year and a half. We have our own private home now, but I can honestly say those 20+ girls are my best friends, as well as some fabulous women I have met through my blog. If I didn't have the internet, I don't know where I would be right now. There are some really fabulous resources out there on the web, and you can definitely find one or 2 or 5 that will help you.

There are tons of things I could say here, but the most important is to please remember our babies. We miss them a lot and think about them every day.

Here are some great resources in case you are looking for support, ways to support, or how to commemorate a special baby on this day.

28 Weeks

Officially 3rd trimester! Last week I was iffy about it. The Bump said it was at 26w6d and Babycenter and What To Expect say 28. Well now it doesn't matter, because here we are! In the homestretch! Babycenter says I should gain 11 pounds this month. I sure hope so! I've only gained like 3 (ducking as you throw things at me!)!

Here's little pumpkin (pumpkin is appropriate! Halloween soon!)

He flips around a lot. He def doesn't stay head down or up at all times. I feel movement all over my belly. He's ALWAYS low, but always wiggling. Sometimes I think he's sideways! And supposedly, he has EYELASHES! How CUTE it that?!?!

Here is my latest picture! I'm officially 27w6d today!

I haven't had the easiest pregnancy, and by far not the hardest, but I just am really looking forward to having this baby. I'm done being pregnant. Coming from a woman with two losses and a small bout of infertility, it's hard to say because I said I would NEVER complain. I dreamed about this for 25 years. But I'm ready for the baby. I can't wait to love on him and meet him. I'm ready for the pregnancy part to be over!

Tomorrow is my appointment. I will hopefully be able to update afterwards! I'm excited to schedule my glucose test and my now 2 week increment appointments!

Hubster-Isms! What's your favorite?!

I really want to do something to interact with my readers and bring some newcomers in. Last night as my hubster made the funniest comment I thought "that's it! He's so silly, there have got to be more out there like him, right?!" That's how I came up with "Hubster-isms!" What silly things has your husband said lately or in the past? I'd love to hear, and I'm sure everyone else would too!

To participate, all you have to do it make a blog post about your husband's latest and greatest. Add your name below on my list so everyone can read about it! Add the button code to the bottom of you post so that your readers can be directed here to read other silly boy sayings! Sound easy enough?

I'm going to try to do this every week or so, so keep your ear's peeled for those outrageous comments so you can show off your silly man every chance you get! And also feel free to put the button code on your sidebar!

Last night Christopher and I were talking about having more than one kid. I am an only child and I love(d) it. He has a brother and said he could never live without him and will not let his kid be an only child. Then we were blessed with two nieces very close together.

I asked him about how many kids he wants again and he said "ONE!" and I asked why and he said "Because two is too much. One's being bad, you have to deal with that one, put him in his room. Then the other one starts being bad and you have to deal with him. Then it's time to get the first one out of his room, and then the 2nd. And then they start fighting."

Like he'd been thinking of this for years and that was the most simple and realistic answer in the world.

Fine with me! I'd love to spoil the poo out of little Bumble B!!!!

Ready to join in? Grab the following button for your blog (and sidebar if you'd like!)

And then add your name and post link to the list!

Diaper Sprayer!

I won a giveaway today from The Cloth Diaper Report! I am so excited! It's a diaper sprayer that hooks onto your toilet and lets you spray poop off of your cloth diapers! A perfect addition to my new cloth diaper venture! Thanks so much Emi!

My First Cloth Diaper Purchase!

I did! I made the leap!

I was at Babies R Us yesterday adding a couple of things to the registry (I DID change the theme, so I needed to fill in some blanks!) and strolled through the diaper section to beep some newborn diapers.

Low and behold... gDiapers! ON SALE!

Holy cow they are SO cute and SO SO SOFT! I got mediums which fit 13-28lbs, so I think that is perfect and will last a long time!

Later I tweeted that I made my first cloth diapering purchase in @gdiapers, and the CEO tweeted me back! I'm famous ;)

I showed them to Christopher (who is SO into cloth diapering. No idea why. I didn't even have to talk him into them or explain them or anything. Weird.) and he loved them too. He said "Wow my son's butt is going to be in these! I can't wait!" What a peach.

27 Weeks!

This post is a little early, but I have to work tomorrow, so I wanted to get it in today! :)

Little Bumble B had HICCUPS last night! It was so so so neat! I thought it was awesome, he did not. He was not a happy camper. He kicked and tossed, which I'm sure just made them worse, but they eventually went away after what I think is a long while. It was so neat!!!!

I'm also having reflux today that you can't even believe. I feel like puking every time I lean over. Wanted to hear that huh? I just took 4 Tums... We'll see. NOT impressed with the Tums Smoothies. May have to go back to old faithful-the original Tums.

According to some websites, we have reached the 3rd trimester! It's the home stretch! Today I look like I ate too many hamburgers. Wonder when the belly will look like baby ALL the time?

Monster Man

For some reason, Christopher and I love all things monster. The monster stuff out there is just TOO CUTE. I'm this close to changing Bumble B's nursery to monster theme, but I already have some stuff that matches the theme I registered for. But if I were to change it... (dream music cue here)

Look at this super nifty nightlight from Target! He's so cute! Kinda scary, but cute ;)

Here's some more of what Target has to offer in the monster category!
Blanket

Pillow

Bean Bag Chair

Night Light

You can always count on Etsy to have something fabulous! Look! Bumble B('s mom) can make his own sock monster doll from katedowding! She has tons of really cool Monster dolls and decor.

IN LOVE WITH THIS DECAL! I star this as my favorite of the post. STAR!

And we all remember the wall decals I featured last week, right? From Bored Inc?

Here are some cool shoes Mommy and Daddy already bought for our little monster from yet again, Target!

Hmmm I'm contemplating it... What do you think?!
