Love And Hate

Love and Hate. That is the relationship I currently have with maternity clothes.

I've wanted to be pregnant FOREVER so I could sport cute preggo jeans and belly showin shirts.

Here I am in my 3rd trimester, and most maternity shirts are still too big for me. But that's not at all the issue. I can deal with that. It's the PANTS.

I have noticed the two main types of maternity pants. The panel that goes up to your boobs and the under belly panel. I hate the boob panel. It is so uncomfortable to me. My sister in law LOVED them. I don't know how she could stand it! I have two pairs of jeans like this, and I just roll the panel down, but after awhile it hurts really bad. So I just go back and forth back and forth, up and down, up and down. When one way gets too uncomfortable, I switch.

When I was making my maternity clothes purchases I went to Ross. I found these AWESOME maternity jeans. They are by Chip and Pepper. Originially like $200 and I got them for $15! Yes FIFTEEN! I was so happy. They are the most comfortable jeans in the entire world. I guess since they're so expensive, but they don't feel like denim. They are so soft and just heavenly. But OMG. The panel. It's awful. It's not under the belly or over, it's just kinda hanging out, doesn't even reach my belly button if I pull it all the way up. And in turn these pants will fall to my knees before I even realize it. I have a big booty. They don't go over the booty.

Here is the model. Isn't she just lovely?!

Here they are on me. It looks like I have boy part room.

And this is how I normally wear them.

I just recently started wearing a belt, YES A BELT! with these pants. I got my handy dandy Vera Bradley belt out. This belt is obviously for looks, not at all function. It doesn't actually work. But I tie the ends and then fold the panel over it and it actually works out great! My butt doesn't continuously fall out. If I'm having a bad contraction day (which are sometimes cause by all these OH SO FABULOUS maternity pants) I can't wear it cause it hurts too bad.

The BellaBand didn't even work for me. I got a Large because when I made the purchase I was pregnant with twins and the sizing said for me to get Large. Still too tight. I must have very sensitive round ligaments? Anything tight down there hurts and causes contractions.

May be once my belly gets bigger I'll be more comfortable, but at the moment, I think I belong in the 1% of women who hate maternity clothes!
